Telemarketers

Have you been sitting in your home and just watching the television or doing something you enjoy, when the phone rings. You get up thinking its going to be an important phone call but no its not, it’s a telemarketer. Or the case when you are expecting a call from an important person, its as if the telemarketers can read your mind and decide to call at that time. There may be times as well when you are truly busy doing some important activity and you do not want to stop, but then the phone rings and you hesitate to go answer it, you wait to see maybe someone else answers the phone or it stops ringing but it doesn’t, as you go to pick it up, there is a long pause. You first wonder was it someone playing a joke on you but that’s when someone begins to talk and you immediately know it’s a telemarketer and either you listen or don’t. As most people do, they just hang up, but for some reason that does not work. Telemarketers seem to call over and over, and it gets on peoples nerves. As individuals we do not know what to do anymore, we are tormented by the calls of the telemarketers and we want it to stop. I do understand that it may be their job to go and call people and offer what they are trying to sell, but it gives them no excuse to call at wild hours of the day, or to continue calling. They need to be more organized and know when someone hangs up or tells them “no” they mean it and to not call back in the future.
