Does my site suck? Caitlin Cutting

Why my website does not suck…
It takes not time to figure out what my site is about because it is in the title
It is clear and simple to navigate
You don’t have to register or download anything to make it work

Why my websites sucks…
I mix text colors on the page, not all text is the same
Some pages have too little on them
Some links lead to no where (thought I fixed)

  1. This website is super easy to navigate around. If you don't know where to go, just click next. It's so simple, then if you want to bounce around there's a navigation bar at the bottom! I really like the structure of it. The pictures were wonderful and relevant and interesting. Also, the external links are great because they don't slow up the loading of the site. The only things I think need minor adjustements are the colors of the text and the background. the white on a light blue makes it a little bit strenuous on the eyes. The top navigation bar is awesome. I LIKED IT A LOT!!! Congrats!

  2. I think your topic is very powerful and the various ways you decided to address it help show it's significance in today's world. I like how everything fits on the page and how it is very easy to navigate through because of your big navigation bar on the bottom. Everything in your site is very uniform (the texts and the backgrounds). I would suggest maybe changing the font to something a little more unique so it draws the reader a little more. Also, it may be helpful to add more pictures so the site isn't solely based on text. Basically, I think the site needs a few minor touch ups. However, the content is very good and I think the way you chose how to get your message across is awesome.

  3. The website has very powerful images. They add a whole new level of understanding about the issue that is very powerful. The titles are a little vegue and don't tell specifically what kind of information I will find on each page. This site is very easy to navigate and the navigation on the bottom is very effective in this site.

  4. Caitlin,

This website is really good. I think that you do a really good job of presenting a background on your topic, as well as have it make sense. You have some really moving and powerful images that I think add alot to your site. I especially like the navigation links too. I really like how you added the "NEXT" and "BACK" pages, that was a really good idea! I think you could get a little more creative with the fonts and colors. The blue and white is a little bland.

I had 4 questions that I used when peer editing your site:

    1) Is it relatable? I think you did a good job of relating your topic in a way that everybody could understand and in a way that is easy to see what it is you're going to be talking about.

    2) Is it concise? For the most part yes, I think you have a few pages that get a little text heavy but most of the pages get to the point and convey your message.

    3) Is it asthetically pleasing? I think your images are AWESOME they really add to your site. Be a little more creative with the fonts :-)

    4) Is it easy to navigate? Yes, I really like the links and the "NEXT" and "BACK" pages.

    Good job!

    Brandon
