"Young Terrorists"-Comic Life

For this comic, I decided to really tune in on the theme of the kids being part of the terrorist group in San Francisco. While I thought the concept was rather comical when it was brought up in the book, I think it is an important idea to consider. Since young people will be the individuals and leaders of the future, it is important that they become intelligent, successful citizens. However, through the content in this book, I have noticed that there is a fine line between fighting for one’s rights, (especially those listed in the Constitution), and becoming so self-righteous that one is regarded as a traitor to his or her country. It is hard to know exactly where these barriers exist. In this comic, I illustrate the side of paranoid adults, who feel like they have lost control over their younger citizens and are at risk because of their actions.
