The comic “Seeing Van” is a remix of a scene from “Little Brother”. In the novel, Marcus is with Ange at her school when he sees Van. Though seeing Van rekindles old feelings momentarily, he chooses to stay with Ange and tells her they used to be friends. I remixed this scene by contemplating the future of the novel if Marcus decided he loved Van and not Ange. Since Van was against Marcus’ plotting to take down Homeland Security she would surely disapprove of Xnet. Marcus would have to shut it down thus ending the book in a disappointing way.
