I chose to remix Minority Report with Little Brother because they share multiple central themes. The themes of surveilence, technology, and crime fighting are present in both works. For my comic I decided I wanted to keep the story line of Little Brother and replace the government or DHS with Tom Cruise and Precrime. I paralleled the surveilence talked about in the book with the technology and scenes from the movie. Tom Cruise is the primary crime fighter and works to arrest Marcus and Darryl, along with hundreds of other teens accused of suspicious activity. In the book Marcus was picked up by the DHS for skipping school and was put under watch. In the movie Tom Cruise fights crime by looking at crime scenes before they happen. The movie takes place in 2054, with the technology and advancements, such as 3D talking advertisements and rooms filled with virtural computer screens. Overall, I think the two pieces of work parallel each other nicely and illuminate their similar central themes.
