Candid Camera Comic

After reading the first ten chapters of Little Brother, by Cory Doctorow, I created a fan fiction with 3 comic slides. I wanted to depict the idea of personal freedom and privacy. Since the terrorist act, citizens have slowly been losing their freedom. First, credit cards are monitored as seen in the Turkish Coffee Shop. Then FasTrak passes are monitored and police seek anyone with an “abnormal” travel log. Due to these serious of events, I decided to create a comic, where Marcus had to give a urine sample at school. He debated with principle about his limited freedom, but eventually gave in to authority. Once he started going to the bathroom, he then realized he was being videotaped for security reasons. Hopefully this comic will shed some light on themes and issue that are brought up in the book.
