Completed Website/ Revisions

Check out my completed website. My first experience working with DreamWeaver was a good one. The best thing that I did to start (after going to the library to work on my site for the first time out of class) was downloading a trial version of DreamWeaver from adobe.com. It is only for 30 days, but it definitely beats going to the library and I don’t always have take my USB flash drive everywhere to make sure my images are on the system. In any case, I was a little confused at first while working with DreamWeaver, but I quickly became acquainted with it and let my ideas loose. I learned how to use different functions that were taught to me in class and others that weren’t to make my website just that more interesting. I tried to keep my design as close to the mock up as possible, and I did (green “Georgia” font, black background). However, I changed up the design a bit in accordance to the theme I wanted to set. For the home page of each of my topics, including the “main” home page I generated fonts from interactimage.com. I then linked each of those generated fonts to the webpage with the text, images, videos, etc..The images I pulled for this website were primarily album covers found on the Google search engine. The videos that I pulled for this website were all from YouTube. I found the quote which inspired my site on quotationspage.com. For my Pop Culture news I pulled articles and linked them from PopCultureMadness.com. I made sure that each page of text, images, videos, etc... was linked back to my home page, said that the images/videos were borrowed for educational purposes only, and that each page said that the website was created in Professor Bousquet’s Writing in the New Media Class. I wanted to make sure, being a very meticulous individual, the credit was given where credit was do.In general, I had an idea that I wanted to go with initially when starting out on this project, and I went with it for the most part. On projects like this I tend let me ideas do the talking and then make them a reality by stringing them together on my website. I thoroughly enjoyed working with DreamWeaver on this project and look forward to the next one. Enjoy FeelingTheVibe!
